Viscose scarves

Viscose scarves are one of our best-selling products. For this product, we have been cooperating with a scarf factory in Shengzhou, China since the foundation of MTR FashionFlair. This factory is fully equipped for this production process and that expertise is reflected in the end product. The viscose scarves we supply are made of high quality viscose. It is a durable material that is very soft and has a luxurious look. Viscose is very comfortable to wear; it feels soft, breathes well, retains heat, is wrinkle-free, retains its shape and is not static.

Some background information

Viscose is made from natural wood fibers, but chemicals are used in the production process. Viscose is therefore a semi-natural fiber. The small pieces of wood are processed into pulp by using chemicals. This pulp is eventually converted into wafer-thin threads that are placed in a bath of sulfuric acid. The latter ensures that the wires get a solid shape and do not fall apart. The threads are then washed and stretched until ready to use. Because viscose is made from the cellulose of wood, it is largely biodegradable. The production of viscose is a lot less polluting  compared to similar materials, because no plastic is used in the production process. Next tot that a lot less water is being used than, for example, cotton. Viscose is also a very strong fabric that lasts a long time.
